Manufacturing Standards

1. Our Commitment

Khyati Contech Private Limited (“Khyati Contech”, “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to building a manufacturing ecosystem focused on quality, consistency, safety, traceability and regulatory compliance.

Our Manufacturing Standards provide a common framework for manufacturing partners producing products under brands, licences and commercial programmes associated with Khyati Contech.

The specific technical requirements for each product shall be governed by the applicable product specification, relevant Indian Standards, brand requirements, statutory requirements and the applicable manufacturing agreement.

2. Applicable Standards & Regulations

All manufacturing partners are required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, standards and certifications relevant to their products and operations.

Depending on the product category, this may include:

• Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) requirements
• Applicable Indian Standards (IS)
• Product certification requirements
• Quality-control requirements
• Legal metrology requirements, where applicable
• Factory and labour laws
• Occupational health and safety requirements
• Environmental regulations
• Pollution-control requirements
• Fire and emergency safety requirements
• Packaging and labelling requirements
• Other applicable statutory requirements

Where a product is covered by a mandatory standard or certification, the applicable requirements shall be followed.

3. Manufacturing Partner Qualification

Manufacturing partners may be evaluated before onboarding based on:

• Plant infrastructure
• Manufacturing capacity
• Machinery and technology
• Technical capabilities
• Quality-control systems
• Testing facilities
• Qualified technical personnel
• Applicable licences and certifications
• Manufacturing experience
• Maintenance systems
• Storage and dispatch facilities
• Safety practices
• Environmental compliance
• Operational capability
• Financial and business standing

Khyati Contech may conduct documentation reviews, plant inspections, technical assessments or other due diligence as appropriate.

4. Raw Material Control

Manufacturing partners shall use raw materials that comply with the applicable product specifications and quality requirements.

Raw materials should be:

• Procured from suitable and approved sources.
• Properly identified.
• Inspected and/or tested as required.
• Stored appropriately.
• Traceable through relevant records.
• Supported by applicable material documentation.

Where required, material test certificates and supplier records shall be maintained.

5. Production Process Control

Manufacturing partners shall maintain controlled production processes appropriate to the relevant product.

Process controls may include:

• Approved production procedures
• Defined process parameters
• Process monitoring
• In-process inspection
• Equipment calibration
• Batch/heat/lot identification
• Production traceability
• Production documentation
• Corrective and preventive action systems

Any significant deviation from approved requirements should be documented, investigated and appropriately addressed.

6. Quality Control & Testing

Manufacturing facilities shall maintain appropriate quality-control and testing systems suitable for the products manufactured.

Depending on the product category, testing and inspection may include:

• Raw material testing
• Chemical testing
• Physical and mechanical testing
• Dimensional inspection
• Weight verification
• Surface inspection
• In-process testing
• Finished-product testing
• Batch-wise or periodic testing as applicable

Testing frequency, methods and acceptance criteria shall be determined by applicable standards and product specifications.

7. Product Traceability

Manufacturing partners shall maintain appropriate traceability from raw material through finished product and dispatch.

Traceability records may include:

• Raw material identification
• Heat, batch or lot number
• Production date
• Production records
• Test reports
• Quality inspection records
• Finished-product identification
• Dispatch records

The traceability system should enable timely identification and investigation of products where quality concerns arise.

8. Product Identification & Marking

Products manufactured under an authorised or licensed brand must comply with applicable requirements relating to:

• Product identification
• Brand marking
• Packaging
• Labelling
• Batch/lot identification
• Certification marks
• Statutory declarations

Unauthorised trademarks, certifications, product claims or markings must not be used.

9. Equipment Maintenance & Calibration

Manufacturing and testing equipment shall be properly maintained and monitored.

Measuring and testing equipment should be:

• Regularly inspected
• Calibrated at appropriate intervals
• Maintained in suitable operating condition
• Operated by trained personnel
• Supported by calibration and maintenance records

Equipment that does not meet required accuracy or operating conditions should be appropriately identified and removed from use until corrective action is completed.

10. Quality Management System

Manufacturing partners should maintain documented quality-management procedures covering:

• Incoming material inspection
• Production control
• Quality inspection
• Testing
• Non-conforming products
• Corrective actions
• Preventive actions
• Customer complaints
• Product traceability
• Documentation and records

Continuous improvement of quality and manufacturing processes is expected.

11. Non-Conforming Products

Products that do not meet applicable specifications must be identified and controlled to prevent unintended release or distribution.

Depending on the circumstances, corrective action may include:

• Segregation
• Re-inspection
• Re-testing
• Rework
• Rejection
• Controlled disposal
• Root-cause analysis
• Corrective action

Release of non-conforming products shall be subject to applicable standards, procedures and contractual requirements.

12. Storage & Handling

Raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products shall be stored and handled appropriately to prevent:

All applicable occupational health and safety requirements must be followed.

Manufacturing partners are expected to conduct operations responsibly and comply with applicable environmental laws and permissions.

Environmental management may include appropriate control of:

• Air emissions
• Water consumption and discharge
• Industrial waste
• Hazardous materials
• Energy consumption
• Noise
• Industrial by-products

Partners shall maintain applicable environmental approvals and consents required for their operations.

15. Documentation & Record Keeping

Manufacturing partners shall maintain appropriate records relating to:

• Raw materials
• Production
• Testing
• Quality inspections
• Calibration
• Equipment maintenance
• Non-conformities
• Corrective actions
• Dispatches
• Regulatory compliance

Records shall be retained for periods required by applicable laws, standards and contractual requirements.

16. Inspection & Audit

Where permitted under the applicable agreement, Khyati Contech or an authorised representative may conduct:

• Plant inspections
• Manufacturing assessments
• Quality audits
• Documentation reviews
• Product inspections
• Process evaluations
• Compliance assessments

Manufacturing partners are expected to provide reasonable cooperation and access to relevant records and facilities.

17. Customer Complaints & Corrective Action

Manufacturing partners should maintain a documented process for receiving, investigating and resolving product-quality complaints.

Where a recurring or significant quality issue is identified, appropriate actions may include:

• Root-cause investigation
• Product traceability review
• Containment
• Corrective action
• Preventive action
• Effectiveness verification

18. Continuous Improvement

Khyati Contech encourages manufacturing partners to continuously improve:

• Product quality
• Manufacturing consistency
• Process efficiency
• Safety
• Energy efficiency
• Resource utilisation
• Waste reduction
• Operational reliability
• Customer satisfaction

Manufacturing partners may be required to implement corrective or improvement measures where material or recurring issues are identified.

19. Product-Specific Standards

These Manufacturing Standards represent a general framework.

Individual products may have additional requirements relating to:

• Chemical composition
• Mechanical properties
• Dimensions and tolerances
• Raw material specifications
• Manufacturing processes
• Testing methods
• Testing frequency
• Packaging
• Marking
• Certification
• Quality acceptance criteria

Where product-specific requirements differ from this general framework, the applicable product specification, statutory requirement or contractual agreement shall prevail.

20. Brand & Product Integrity

Every manufacturing partner is expected to protect the quality and reputation of the brands associated with Khyati Contech.

Partners must not:

• Manufacture unauthorised products under a licensed brand.
• Substitute materials without required approval.
• Change approved product specifications without authorisation.
• Falsify production or testing records.
• Use invalid or unauthorised certifications.
• Make misleading quality claims.
• Release products that do not meet applicable requirements.

21. Manufacturing Partner Responsibility

Manufacturing partners remain responsible for their own manufacturing facilities, employees, statutory registrations, licences, approvals, certifications, safety systems and operational compliance.

Khyati Contech's responsibilities shall be determined by the applicable brand licence, manufacturing agreement and commercial arrangement.
